UNC paths in Notepad++ Light Explorer
Notepad++ is one of my favorite text editors. I use it with a file explorer plugin, Light Explorer, which has a nice feature called Favorites, where you can store shortcuts to to places you often want to edit files (in my case, the Apache directory of my web server).
Unfortunately, via the GUI, there doesn't appear to be a way to add UNC paths (eg: \\servername\sharename\foldername) as a favorite. But with a little digging, I found that you can simply edit the file C:\Users\[yourUsername]\Application Data\Notepad++\plugins\lightExplorer.ini as follows:
...
[Favorites]
my_apache_folder=\\MyFileServer\Files\xampp\
Restart Notepad++, and you should see your new favorite:
